The Best Personal Blenders of 2024

Staying healthy when you have kids is hard. It’s tough to exercise when you have little people hanging off you and it’s even harder to eat healthy when you’re cooking for picky eaters, or munching on their leftovers. One trick I’ve learned is making green smoothies, which requires a blender, but other than that, it’s easy. Hence the reason for this post on the best personal blenders of 2024.

Why Green Smoothies?

If you’re feeling bleh and chalking it up to being a mom, I can pretty much guarantee that green smoothies will help perk you back up. They’re so chock full of vitamins that they make you feel amazing. And, bonus, you don’t have to invest in a ton of shakes and meal replacement stuff from expensive companies.

I’ll give some of my favorite recipes for green smoothies at the bottom of this page, but basically, I’ve seen a lot of health benefits from them. Including:

  • More energy (which we ALL need, right?)
  • Decreased PMS (again, something every mom can use)
  • Sleep less (I guess this goes with the energy, but it’s awesome enough to mention separately)
  • More regular bowel movements (booyah!)
  • Yummy (not a health benefit, but definitely a plus if you hate those chalky meal replacement shakes)

Greens can be tough to blend, though, so you need a GOOD blender and not all of us are blessed enough to have a Vitamix. A personal blender that is strong enough to blend up a great smoothie is always a plus to have around.

The Best Personal Blenders of 2024

I like to use a smaller blender than the big one that I use for my family. This lets me blend up exactly what I need for myself and I can quickly rinse and wash it out while the kids are eating pancakes, so I’m not tempted to chow down.

Another major bonus of having a personal blender is that you dirty fewer dishes. These all blend in a container that you can drink right out of. That’s definitely a big plus.

The the best personal blenders of 2024 on this list are ones that work really well for making amazing smoothies. Enjoy!

Oster BLSTPB-WGN My Blend 250-Watt Blender

Q? Encoding=utf8&asin=b004t4ly8u&format= sl250 &id=asinimage&marketplace=us&serviceversion=20070822&ws=1&tag=kidsreviewstuff 20&language=en usIr? T=kidsreviewstuff 20&language=en us&l=li3&o=1&a=b004t4ly8uI love that this personal blender comes in fun colors, even though that really has nothing to do with how practical it is. Blue, green, pink, orange or black are all options. But, getting to the actual review for the Oster My Blend blender . . .

This little blender lets you fill it, pop the blender blade base in and then just push it onto the base to immediately blend without having to push any buttons. SO SIMPLE! Then you pop it off and drink. That’s it.

It is compact, which is great, but does it blend? Why yes, yes it does. The blender on this little thing is pretty powerful and can crush ice, so you know it will handle spinach with ease. The only thing you need to be careful with is adding liquid. It won’t blend as well without enough liquid and you can burn out the motor.

Pros of the Oster BLSTPB-WGN My Blend:

  • Small and compact
  • Blends well (including ice)
  • Very affordable at under $20 (price subject to change)
  • Cute colors!
  • Blend and go cup

Cons of the Oster BLSTPB-WGN My Blend:

  • It can be noisy
  • Not the strongest blender available

Hamilton Beach (51103) Personal Blender

Q? Encoding=utf8&asin=b002v8zexw&format= sl250 &id=asinimage&marketplace=us&serviceversion=20070822&ws=1&tag=kidsreviewstuff 20&language=en usIr? T=kidsreviewstuff 20&language=en us&l=li3&o=1&a=b002v8zexw Doesn’t this blender look elegant, with it’s graceful curves? While it is designed to be a blend and go cup, it’s not as slender as some cups. That may be a good thing, depending on what your personal preference is, and it fits in most car cup holders.

Since this blender is a little light on motor power, it isn’t great for chopping ice or anything frozen in large chunks. Stick to liquid or half-thawed fruit to make sure you don’t burn out the 174-watt motor.

To use the blender, you press the pulse button. However, it’s important to note that it works best when you press repeatedly, rather than holding it down. You’ll get better smoothie results by actually pulsing the mixture.

Pros of the Hamilton Beach Blender:

  • Affordable (even more than the previous mentioned option)
  • Detachable travel mug fits car cup holders
  • Quiet, compared to regular blenders
  • Easy to clean, since it’s wider than most personal blenders

Cons of the Hamilton Beach Blender:

  • Slightly larger than most personal blenders
  • Doesn’t handle frozen chunks well

My #1 Choice for Personal Blender

You can pick from any of the personal blenders in this post and know that you have chosen well. However, my absolute top pick for the best personal blender in 2024 is this one . . .

Nutri Ninja Personal Blender

Q? Encoding=utf8&asin=b00ngv3x2w&format= sl250 &id=asinimage&marketplace=us&serviceversion=20070822&ws=1&tag=beasupermom 20&language=en usIr? T=beasupermom 20&language=en us&l=li3&o=1&a=b00ngv3x2w

I’m in love with this amazing smoothie maker. Let’s be honest, though, it is far more than just a smoothie machine. With a whopping 1,000 watt motor, it blends basically anything you want.

This particular version comes with three different sizes of glass cups to blend in and then take with you . . . and they all have their own travel mug tops. If you’re like me and rarely manage to wash dishes in time for the next meal, you’ll definitely want all three of these cups.

Something else that rocks when it comes to the Nutri Ninja is the fact that it does all the work for you. It senses when your smoothie is liquified and it handles the pulsing and blending for you, with no need to press a ton of buttons. Also, it blends with minimal liquid, so it’s great if you like thick smoothies or raw fruit puddings.

Overall, if you have the money and just want the best, THIS is the personal blender you need to buy.

Pros of the Nutri Ninja Blender:

  • Comes with three cups, in 18, 24, and 32 oz
  • Can be used as a juicer if you strain the blended contents after
  • Auto IQ settings take care of pulsing for you
  • Super easy to clean
  • VERY powerful, it can blend without liquids!

Cons of the Nutri Ninja Blender:

  • Noise levels can be high, especially with ice
  • Price, it’s totally worth it, though
